Pinch harmonics · 4/4 · 6090 BPM

Harmonic sniper

One pinch per bar, on beat 3, over a muted chug. Aim, don't spray.

Pinches are punctuation. Random squeals are a beginner tell. Place them.

squeal

Same pitch every time. If it wanders, your thumb is wandering.

  1. 01

Chug 8ths, muted. On beat 3, strike a pinch on the sixth string around the pickups.

  2. 02

The thumb follows the pick by a millimetre. Too much flesh = thud; too little = normal note.

  3. 03

Hunt the 'sweet' spots: roughly over the neck pickup and a few cm toward the bridge.

  4. 04

Once you can land the same squeal four bars in a row, move it to beat 4-and.
